Dina Denis Dance, a.k.a. Dance Into Light, is a nonprofit modern dance company in Queens, New York. Dina Denis Dance provides dance as an avenue for personal healing, means for self-expression, and as an approach toward building confidence in young adults. In addition, Dina Denis Dance offers artist-to-youth mentoring services, hands on creative movement workshops, lecture demonstrations, and live dance performances throughout the tri-state area. Dina Denis Dance also offers live dance performances to nursing homes and senior citizen centers. My choreographic goals are to promote consciousness of human connectivity and spiritual capabilities. These goals are accomplished through the creation and performance of dance that stimulates emotion, reflection, and aesthetic pleasure in all audience members. My work explores themes of spiritual awareness, awakening, relationships, and other interactions that contribute to our continued evolution while cultivating kinship among people.
